CELEBRATING SA COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

Win R500 for you and R500 for your teacher Competition:

1. The promoter of the competition is The Reach Trust

2. The name of the competition is "Celebrating South Africa”

3. The main competition prize draw will take the following format:

   1. To enter the competition, you must submit an original story or drawn picture that tells Nkanyezi why you are proud to be South African. This should be emailed by your teacher to celebratingsa@thereachtrust.org along with: 

      1. your first name and last name, 

      2. your grade, 

      3. your school’s name,

      4. and your teacher’s name. 

   2. The email you use for your submission will be used to contact you if you are the winner.

   3. The competition is open until 09:00 AM on 15 June 2023. The competition draw will take place on 16 June 2023 (Youth Day).

   4. A panel of five of The Reach Trust’s team members will objectively vote on their favourite submissions. The submission with the most votes will win.

   5. The winners will be contacted via email (using the email that the submission was submitted through) in the week of the competition draw.

4. By entering the competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and have received parental consent to enter the competition.

5. The “Celebrating South Africa” competition is open to all primary school children (Grades 1 - 7) within the Republic of South Africa.

6. You are not eligible to participate if you are a trustee or employee of The Reach Trust or a direct family member of a trustee or employee.

7. To enter the competition you must follow the rules mentioned in (4) above. 

8. The Reach Trust reserves the right to disqualify any user who enters using false information by robotic, automated or like means.

9. Calls may be recorded for security and verification purposes.

10. The book voucher prize will be transferred to the winner via email within 2 weeks from the 16th of June 2023.

11. An alternate winner will be selected if after 3 attempted emails, the organisers cannot reach the initial winner on the contact details provided.

12. The prize winners have 7 days from being contacted to confirm their details to claim their prizes. Prizes not claimed within this period will be forfeited.

13. The Reach Trust does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this competition.

14. Winners give The Reach Trust and its authorized agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes, unless refused.

15. The Reach Trust reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against The Reach Trust and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against The Reach Trust.

16. By participating in this competition, you consent to (i) the processing of your personal information by The Reach Trust and related parties on the condition that they will keep such information confidential; (ii) the retention by The Reach Trust of your personal information for as long as permitted for legal, regulatory, fraud prevention and marketing purposes;
